| Building the Dominator 2 Modifications to the vehicle included a state-of-the-art armored shell to protect it, and passengers, from 100+ MPH winds and flying debris. In addition, various radars and probes have been attached to help them collect important data and insight into the destructive twisters they eagerly drive into. | About the 2011 Yukon XL The TVN team picked out a half-ton, four wheel drive Yukon XL SLE in what other color–Storm Gray Metallic. It has a Vortec 5.3L V8 SFI FlexFuel with Active Fuel Management, capable of running on unleaded or up to 85% ethanol. And, at just over 222" long, the Yukon XL offers ample room for the team's numerous computers and research equipment.
